Keep Extra Charges in Mind
Many extra services in shipping come with an added fee. These charges are easiest to manage when selected at the time of booking, as they will be included in your upfront cost.
If additional services are only requested at delivery, they will appear later on your invoice.
That’s why it’s important to educate your customers ahead of time:
Any extra effort needed to unload freight (such as liftgate service, inside delivery, or special handling) will result in extra charges.
If these services aren’t booked in advance, you as the shipper will still be responsible for those costs.
